Our purpose is to:

Provide for the development and implementation of a Curriculum Framework for schooling which, taking account of the needs of students, sets out the knowledge, understandings, skills, values and attitudes that students are expected to acquire;

Provide for the development and accreditation of courses of study for post-compulsory schooling; and
provide for the assessment and certification of student achievement.

Mind Matters - Western Australia

MindMatters helps schools and their communities including teachers, parents and students to take positive action to create a climate for wellbeing. Social and emotional wellbeing is linked to young people's schooling outcomes, their social development, their capacity to contribute to the workforce and the community and to reducing the rate of youth suicide. The program recognises that MindMatters is one of a number of resources that facilitate a whole school approach in promoting positive mental health and encourages schools to build partnerships with other agencies in working with young people.
